金球獎得主放話請客了！塔拉吉漢森（Taraji P. Henson）憑《嘻哈帝國》（Empire）獲戲劇類影集女主角，因她在劇中叫「Cookie（餅線上學英文單字乾）」，一上台就開心大嚷：「今晚我請大家吃餅乾！」她不敢相信這個「前科犯」角色能讓她拿到女主角，也毫不掩飾對獎座的渴望：「我等這個獎20年了！」
至於戲劇類影集男主角則由喬漢姆（Jon hamm）拿下。他自2006年《廣告狂人》第１季拿下男主角後，暌違８年，以最終季再奪獎座，讓影集有了完美結局。《廣告狂人》７季中有６季入圍金球獎，他除了感謝觀眾支持，也開編劇玩笑：「謝謝你把這個角色寫得這麼討人厭！」
喜劇類影集男主角是蓋爾賈西亞伯諾（Gael Garcia Bernal），他在《叢林中的莫札特》飾古典樂團指揮家，在紅毯上透露這角色讓他時刻都很緊繃，「尤其拍攝指揮洛杉磯愛樂管弦樂團那場戲，簡直比初吻還緊張。」
《瘋狂前女友》的瑞秋布魯（Rachel Bloom）以新人之姿，首次入圍就擊敗上屆得主吉娜羅卓奎茲（Gina Rodriguez）拿下喜劇類影集女主角。她激動到語無倫次將所有人謝過一輪，回想該劇當初被一拖拉庫的電視網拒絕，最後CW電視網願意收留，才讓這部影集被看見。影集將於２月19日晚９點在Star World播出。
